Daniel McCrea - aka NZ Clay Artist
My name is Daniel, and I am a young artist from Hawera, Taranaki, New Zealand. I found my niche in Polymer Clay Sculpting at age 11. I started filming my projects in 2021 and I set up a YouTube channel – NZ Clay Artist – to document my projects.
I discovered art when I was 4 years old and have loved doing it ever since. When I was 11 years old I watched some Polymer clay videos on youtube, I was curious on what this clay was, so I asked my mum if I could buy some to try it out. Now, if you are subscribed to my channel, you know I use Super Sculpey but the clay I used back then was a coloured clay made by the same company.
I made my first polymer clay sculpture and I thought it looked good, well I did back then, I don’t really like it now. Now, 4 years later I have made hundreds of sculptures.
